Printmaking Portfolio

Diana sees her prints as an exploration of the inner life through symbols and universal images.

Working with etched printed circuit boards as a layer for her prints, she combines different printmaking techniques to produce monoprints. The matrix of the PCB provides a surface texture which references; technology, universality and connectivity.

The use of colour, texture and strong design elements are used to convey the richness of the fabric of life. Her prints are represented in numerous public collections including the National Gallery of Australia.

Diana Orinda Burns has worked as a curator, commercial gallery director, arts educator and as a custom printer for Ken McGregor and Block Projects.
